Building Futures is an immersive and innovative program where Grade 10 students learn how to build a house from the ground up while contributing to their community.
Students learn their core courses from teachers in repurposed garages while building homes with qualified tradespeople. Students thrive in the program’s individualized instruction while pursuing their passions, thanks to the generous support of McKee Homes and Kingsmith Homes.
Building Futures is run by RVS’ Community Learning Centres and has two program locations: Bayside in Airdrie and The Willows in Cochrane. The location of each building site changes each September.
Students from all RVS high schools have access to this program. Interested students should contact the guidance counselor at their home school.
