RVS will hold a public meeting on Jan. 26 to gather input about the future of the Cochrane school on Powell Street. The meeting will take place at Manachaban School (724 Chiniki Drive, Cochrane) from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
RVS re-acquired the school in September 2022 from the Calgary Catholic School Division. The school currently has space for 330 and will be renovated before welcoming students in September 2023.
At the meeting, RVS administration will provide information about current enrolments in Cochrane schools and information about the school facility. We will also describe preliminary options for who might attend the school and collect public feedback.
Feedback can also be provided online beginning Jan. 27. All feedback must be received by March 23 at 5 p.m. The Board of Trustees will use this information to help determine an accommodation plan for the school.
