Rocky View Schools (RVS) is hosting a second public consultation and online engagement to assist in formally deciding the grade configuration and attendance area of its new school in Langdon, which is set to open in September 2024.
In May, RVS presented an option for the accommodation plan that would impact the grade configurations of Sarah Thompson School, Langdon School and Indus School and the attendance boundaries for select rural areas currently attending Chestermere High School. Following feedback received through the consultation process, RVS has prepared two additional options.
Parents/guardians and community members are invited to learn more about additional options under consideration and provide their input at a meeting on Oct. 17 at Langdon School (17 Brander Avenue N.W., Langdon). The meeting will begin with a presentation by RVS administration at 6:30, followed by feedback sessions.
Feedback may also be provided online beginning Oct. 17 through RVSEngage.com. All feedback must be received by Nov. 13 at 9 a.m. The Board will use this information to help determine an accommodation plan for the new school.
Stakeholders will have the opportunity to present to the Board at its public meeting on Nov. 16 at 10 a.m. (please see Board Policy 7 – Board Operations (Section 7)).
